Father’s Day and graduation are around the corner, and I thought I would give one of my clients pages a quick mention. The site is GiftTree.com, and the page I am referring to is their gift baskets. Gift baskets make great gifts because they can be somewhat personalized, and certainly theme based. You can also easily squeeze in your own personal touch.
Gift Baskets
When I first started building websites, more than ten years ago, my second/different client was a gift basket maker. They were just starting out, and had offered me an opportunity to join in with them. Being a guy the idea of building gift baskets did not appeal to me so I declined. I have no real regrets about declining to join their business venture, but I occassionally kick myself when I see these sites. My friend went on to making her baskets, and a very successful business.
Finding the right basket at GiftTree’s site is pretty easy. You can search by type, price, size, and the pages displays several thumbnails for quick scanning. Prices are competitive.

gift basket, site review
Being a webmaster and a site analyst, I have a few friends that build websites themselves. Temi is one of those webmasters, and a few of his sites I have mentioned here in this blog already. One of his sites is this Discount Golf Equipment site, called Mike Nutter Golf.
Mike Nutter’s Golf is an e-commerce site selling golf equipment. They use Boss Cart to drive the store, and if you are unfamiliar with Boss Cart, check out my review about it here. The site targets a UK audience, and as you would expect sells all things golf related, even clothes. You can find plenty of products on sale, and additionally find some shipping deals. I don’t think I would want to pay to ship an entire set of clubs.
The site also had a Golf Equipment Blog where you can keep up with the latest in golfing news. It seemed still in it’s beginning stages, but with a little extra effort I am sure it will take off like most of Temi’s sites do. The last post was just a few days ago, and it was about converting your lawn into a golfing lawn. Don’t think I will be doing that, being that my back yard is cement and water. I have a pool.
Anyhow, I hope you check out the site, especially if you are from the UK, and don’t forget to check out their special discount page for a deal.
